Book of Deuteronomy chapter 28: 1-68, in verbis ipsis literis

Deut. 28:1-68

1 - “If you faithfully obey the word of the LORD your God, being zealous to follow all his commandments which I command you this day, the LORD your God will set you high above all the nations of the earth!

2 - If you listen to the voice of the Lord your God, all these blessings will come upon you and accompany you:

3-Blessed shall you be in the city and blessed shall you be in the field.

4-Blessed are the children of your womb, as also the crops of your land, the calves and the lambs of your flocks.

5 – Blessed is your basket and your kneading bowl.

6 – Blessed shall you be when you enter and blessed when you leave.

7 – The LORD will cause your enemies who rise up against you to be defeated before you; one way they will go against you, but seven ways they will flee from your presence.

8 – The LORD will send blessings to your barns as well as to all the work done by your hands. Yahweh your God will richly bless you in the good land he is giving you.

9 – Yahweh will make you his holy people, exactly as he promised you on oath, if you obey the commandments of the LORD, your God, and walk in his ways!

10 – Then all the peoples of the earth will see that you are blessed and protected by the Name of Yahweh and they will be terrified of you.

11 – The LORD will grant you great prosperity in the sacred fruit of your womb, in the many offspring of your flocks and in the abundant harvests of your bountiful land, in this land that the Eternal, under oath to your fathers, promised to give you.

12 – The LORD will open heaven for you, the storehouse of his treasure, to give rain to your land in its time and to bless all the work of your hands; you will lend to many nations, but you will not borrow.

13 – The LORD will make you the head of the nations and not the tail. If you obey the commandments of Yahweh your God, which I command you this day, to keep and do them. Therefore, you will always be above, not below,

14-Therefore, you shall not deviate, either to the right or to the left, from any of the commandments that I command you today, in order to follow other gods and serve them.

15 – However, if you do not obey the Word of Yahweh, your God, not zealous for the fulfillment of all his commandments and decrees that I command you this day, then all these curses will come upon you and overtake you;

The Curses of YAHWEH

16 – Cursed shall you be in the city, and cursed shall you be in the field.

17-Cursed be your basket and your kneader.

18 – Cursed are the children of your womb, the fruit of your land, the young of your herds and sheep.

19 – Cursed shall you be when you enter, and cursed when you go out.

20 – The LORD will send upon you curses, confusion and rebuke in everything you do, until you are destroyed and suffer sudden ruin because of the evil of your actions, for which you abandoned me.

21 – The LORD will plague you with disease until he banishes you from the good land you are entering to take possession of it.

22 – The LORD will smite you with diseases, devastating, fever and inflammation, with scorching heat and drought, with mildew and mildew, which will infest you until you die.

23 – The sky over your head will become like bronze, the ground under your feet like iron.

24 – YAHWEH will turn the rain of your land into ashes and dust, which will come down from heaven on you until you are completely in ruins.

25 – The LORD will cause you to be defeated by your adversaries. You will go out against them one way, but you will flee from them seven ways, and you will be an object of horror to all the kingdoms of the earth.

26 Your carcasses will be food for all the birds in the sky and the wild animals on the ground, and no one will drive them away.

27 – The LORD will punish you with the boils of Egypt and with tumors, festering sores and freckles, evils for which you will not find a cure.

28 – The LORD will afflict you with madness, blindness and mental confusion.

29 – You will walk around in the midday light groping around, aimlessly, like a blind man in the dark. You will not find prosperity in anything you do; day after day you will be oppressed and extorted without anyone being able to save you.

30-You will marry a woman, but another man will have sexual relations with your wife; thou shalt build a house, yet thou shalt not dwell in it; you will plant a vineyard, but you will not taste its fruit.

31 – Your ox shall be slaughtered before your eyes, but you shall not feed on the flesh; your oath will be torn from you by force and will not be returned; your sheep will be given over to enemies, and no one will save them.

32 - Your sons and your daughters will be taken as slaves and taken to serve other peoples, and your eyes will burn out waiting for them day after day, without you being able to lift a single hand to make them return.

33 – A nation that does not know will eat what the land and your hard work produce, and you will suffer the cruelest of oppressions all the days of your life on earth.

34 – Then you will go mad at all that your eyes see.

35 - SE NHOR will smite you with sore boils on your knees and legs, from which you cannot heal, from the soles of your feet to the top of your head.

36 – The LORD will bring you, and the king who will rule over you, to a nation that you and your ancestors never knew. There you shall worship strange gods, idols of wood and stone.

37 – Thus you will be an object of dread and scandal, an object of scorn and laughter to all the nations where the LORD leads you.

38 – Thou shalt sow much seed in the field of thy land; however, you will reap almost nothing, because the locusts will devour them.

39 – You will plant and cultivate many vineyards, but you will not drink of their wine, nor will you gather the grapes, for the worms will eat them.

40 – In all its borders you will have olive trees, but you will not be able to anoint yourself with oil, because your olives will drop before they ripen.

41 – You will beget sons and daughters, but they will not remain with you, because foreigners will take them to serve in captivity.

42 – Swarms of locusts will take over all the trees and crops in your land.

43 – The foreigner who is in your midst will progress and succeed every day, while you will regress every moment, more and more.

44 He will lend to you, but you will not lend to him. He will be considered the head of the nations, and you will be the tail.

45 – Therefore, all these curses will come upon you and will pursue you and overtake you until you are completely destroyed, because you did not listen to the voice of the Lord your God, to keep his commandments and his statutes that he commanded you.

46 – These curses will be a wonder and an eternal sign for your descendants for all future generations.

47 – Considering that you did not want to obey and serve the LORD your God with gladness and goodness of heart, in the abundance of all that HE provided for your enjoyment.

48 – Then you will serve your enemy, whom the Eternal will send against you, bringing hunger, thirst, nakedness, lack of absolutely everything, and the adversary will still place an iron yoke on your neck until you are exterminated.

49 – The LORD will bring from far off lands, from the ends of the earth, a heathen nation that will rise up against you like the diving eagle, a nation whose language you will not be able to understand.

50 – fierce-looking people, without respect or shame for the elderly, nor any mercy for the young.

51 – That nation will devour the young of your animals and the crops of your land until it is completely destroyed. He will not let any grain, wine, or oil remain, nor any calf or lamb from your flocks until you are utterly ruined.

52 – This people will besiege all the cities of your land, until the high fortified walls in which you put your trust fall. He will also besiege all your cities throughout all the land the LORD your God is giving you.

53 – Because of the tremendous suffering your enemy will subject you to during that terrible siege, you will be forced to eat the fruit of your own womb, the flesh of your own sons and daughters that the LORD, your God, gave you!

54 – Even the most fraternal and educated human being among all the members of your people will not show the slightest compassion for his brother, for the woman he loves and for the children who survive.

55 – So that you shall not share with any of them even a piece of the flesh of his own children that he is devouring, for nothing will be left for him because of the many sufferings that your adversary will inflict on you during the great and devastating siege of all your cities.

56 - In the same way, as for his Israelite wife, the most gentle and delicate among all your people, so fine and educated that she would not dare to touch the ground with the sole of her foot, her eye will turn evil towards the husband whom she loves and to the son or daughter.

57 – Not giving them either the afterbirth of the womb or the children to be borne, because her true intention is to secretly devour them during that horrible siege amidst the great suffering that your adversary will inflict on your city.

58 – Therefore if you do not faithfully follow all the words of this Torah, law, Written in this book, and do not reverently love this glorious and terrible Name, Yahweh, Your God.

59 – then He will send, as a punishment, horrible plagues on you and on your descendants, terrible lingering misfortunes, terrible and chronic diseases

60 - He will send against you all the diseases of Egypt that you feared, and they will cling to you.

61 – Also the LORD will bring upon you every disease and every plague that is not written in the book of this Torah, Law, until you are absolutely devastated.

62 – Thus, there will remain only a few of you in number of men, you who were, in the past, as numerous as the stars of the sky! Because you did not listen to the word of the LORD your God.

63 – As it was pleasing to Yahweh to make you prosper and multiply in number, so it will be pleasing to him to destroy you and cause you to perish. You will therefore be uprooted from the good land you are on, and entering to take possession of it.

64 - Then Yahweh will scatter you among all peoples, from one end of the face of the earth to the other, and there you will serve strange gods, which neither you nor your former fathers knew, made of wood and stone.

65 – In the midst of these pagan nations you will never have peace and tranquility, and the sole of your feet will not find a single place to rest. There Yahweh will leave you with a desperate heart, eyes weary and afflicted with so much waiting, and an anxious soul!

66 – You will live in constant uncertainty, full of fear and terror, day and night, without any security in life.

67 – At daybreak you will think: I hope it is night! And at sunset you will say: AH! I wish it was the day! Because of the terror that will seize your heart and because of the scourge that your eyes will behold.

68 – Yahweh will bring you back to Egypt, by boat or by the way I said to you: You will never see him again! There you will be offered for sale to your enemies as mere male and female slaves, and even then, there will be no one who wants to buy you!

If this all that was prophesied as a curse by YAHWEH was not fulfilled by the Nazis then very little was missing. Or, it was a brutal coincidence.
